In celebration of the 500th anniversary of the commissioning of the Choralis Constantinus - the great collection of liturgical music for the Constance cathedral composed by early Renaissance master Heinrich Isaac, Markus Utz, Münsterchordirektor of the Constance Münster and Professor of Choral Conducting at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, is hosted a Choralis Constantinus Symposium during late April and early May 2008 to study and perform music from the Choralis Constantinus. Among the vocal ensembles performing were Ensemble Officium, Cantissimo, and Dakota Voices, who performed a collaborative concert with a famous jazz artist, Bernd Konrad, in a standing-room only crowd of 1700 in the Münster. |
