Music Courses and Credit Options

As part of the South Dakota state university system, SDSMT music course numbers and titles are part of the South Dakota system common course format. Therefore courses from other state universities transfer easily to SDSMT from SDSMT to others. Even so, some courses and course details are unique to SDSMT.  Click the individual courses for more information.

MUAP (Music Applied)

SDSMT Director of Music D. James D. Feiszli giving a voice lessonApplied music (MUAP) is private or group music study.  The courses listed are not the only private lesson possibilities available, but those that have been taught most regularly.
MUEN (Music Ensemble) TrombonesMusic Ensemble (MUEN) courses allow students to receive credit for singing or playing in a group instructional setting. Non-credit allows students to enroll at no cost.
MUS (Other Music)

Feiszli Teaching Seminar ClassMUS courses include traditional lecture courses as well as MUS217 and 317 - hybrid courses unique to SDSMT that combine performance and research.
