Music Courses and Credit Options
As part of the South Dakota state university system, most SDSMT music course numbers and titles are part of the system common course format. So, courses from other state universities transfer easily. Even so, some courses are unique to SDSMT. Click the individual courses for more information.

MUAP (Applied Music) |
 Applied music is private or group music study. The courses listed are not the only private lessons available, but those that have been taught most regularly. |

MUEN (Music Ensemble)

 Music ensemble courses allow students to receive credit for singing or playing in a group instructional setting. Non-credit allows students to enroll at no cost. |

MUS (Other Music)
|
MUS courses include traditional lecture courses as well as MUS217 and 317 - hybrid courses unique to SDSMT that combine performance and research. |
